Helping teenage cricketers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
With Covid-19 affecting sports activities many teenage cricketers were struggling to cope with this void. It started affecting their mental wellbeing and many were unable to adapt to the new world.
Amit as the CEO & founding trustee of Cricketers’ Foundation decided that it was time to focus on our budding cricketers and their mental wellbeing. An individualized mental conditioning program was conceived in partnership with a team of leading sport and performance psychologists in early 2021. So far almost 50 boys and girls have undergone more than 6 sessions with many in continuation. This was the nudge that led to the setting up of Nudge Consulting and Nudge Sports with a vision to enabling sporting excellence and building a champion mindset through its programs and interactions across all sports.
In the words of these young aspiring cricketers, these sessions have helped them cope with the new uncertain world better and now with renewed confidence. It has helped them with routine planning and awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses. And they have started seeing the difference in their game as well.
To top these sessions, Greg Chappell ex-Australian Cricket Captain & Coach was also invited for an amazing virtual session with these young cricketers, who with his coveted program ‘Master Your Mind’ shared experiences to help them prepare for matches with various visualization techniques from his own playing & coaching career.
